Custard Jell-o Cake


Custard Jell-o Cake
Ingredients
First Layer
½ Recipe of Basic White Cake Click here for the recipe
Second Layer
2 ½ cups milk
4 tablespoons vanilla powdered custard
6 tablespoons sugar
Third Layer
1 pkg. (3 oz) strawberry jell-o or any another flavor as desired
Banana or strawberry slices as desired

Directions
First Layer Directions
* Prepare cake as mentioned, pour the batter in one 8½ x 2½ inch Spring
form Pan and bake  for 30 – 35 minutes at 350 F. Keep it in the pan and cool completely over wire rack
Second Layer Directions

* Combine 2 cups milk and sugar in a saucepan
* On medium heat, bring milk mixture to boil
* Mix powdered custard and ½ cup milk, pour over the boiling milk ,cook  and stir until thickness
*  Pour it quickly over the cooled cake, put it in the fridge to cool
* Cover the cooled cake with banana or strawberry  slices
* Prepare jell-o as mentioned on the box , quickly spoon it over the cake, cool in fridge for several hours before serving
