Dawood Basha



Dawood Basha
Ingredients
400 grams ground beef or lamb lean red meat
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon pepper
¼ teaspoon allspice
¼ cup vegetable oil
1 medium sized onion, cut into slices
1 tablespoon all purpose flour
1 medium sized potato, peeled and diced

2 ½  cups water
1 cube beef Bouillon cube
1 tablespoon pomegranate molasses
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1 (4 oz) can mushroom, drained
Directions

 * In a bowl mix red meat, salt, pepper and allspice, shape into balls
*In a saucepan over medium heat cook meat with vegetable oil till half cooked, remove from saucepan, sit aside

* Add onion to same saucepan and saute for 5 minutes
* Add flour and mix
* Add meat balls, mushroom and potato, stir for 2 minutes
* Add water and bouillon cube, cover bring to boil then cook for 10 minutes
* Add pomegranate molasses and tomato paste,  cook for 5 minutes
* Serve warm with cooked white rice
