Mufaraket Ankinar (Artichoke with meat)


Mufaraket Ankinar (Artichoke with meat)
Ingredients
1 (14 oz) bag frozen Artichoke hearts, diced
200 g ground beef or lamb lean red meat
1 medium sized onion, finely chopped
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
Salt - Pepper – allspice
½ cup water
Directions

 * In a saucepan on medium heat add oil and onion, saute for 3 minutes
* Add meat, salt , pepper and allspice as needed, stir till cooked and have crumbed meat
* Add artichoke and water, cover and cook till tender, uncover and cook till the water dries up completely
* Serve hot with salad and pita bread or squeeze a lemon to taste
