Creamy Strawberry Cake



Creamy Strawberry Cake
Ingredients
Cake Ingredients
2 ¼ cups sifted all-purpose flour

1 1/3  Cups sugar
 3 teaspoons Baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
 ½ cup vegetable oil, margarine or shortening
 1 cup milk
 1 teaspoon Vanilla
 2 eggs
Topping Sauce Ingredients
2 pkg. (3 oz ) strawberry flavored jell-o

2 cups boiled water divided
1 Cup strawberry or vanilla flavored custard, cooked and cold

Directions
* Preheat oven to 350 F (175 C)
*  Combine dry ingredients together
* Add oil, milk and vanilla and mix well with electronic mixer for a minute on low speed
*  Add eggs and mix for half minute on low speed, then on medium speed mix for 2 minutes
* Pour the mixture into greased and floured 13 x 9 x 2 inch rectangular Pan
* Bake for 25 - 35 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out
clean
* Remove cake from the oven, quickly make holes with wooden spoon hand , without reaching the cake bottom, about  23 holes
* Mix 1 jell-o pkg. in one cup of boiling water well

With a spoon pour hot jell-o evenly into the holes, let it cool for two hours in the fridge
* meanwhile mix second jell-o pkg. in one cup of boiling water and let it cool completely
* in a blender beat cooled jell-o and cooled custard
* Pour it over the cake and let it cool extra hour in the fridge

* Decorate cake with fresh strawberries
* You can make this recipe with any other flavor, orange, pineapple, Mango, Lemon, cherry using jell-o with the flavor you like
